Poster for the project 'Visually Absent' of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Students of the Rietveld Academy and the Sandberg Institute were asked to explore ways to present iconic pieces of their collection in the city.
Since it was not allowed to reproduce or remake the work, neither to make a new interpretation, I decided to use already existing reproductions. The iconic work I choose is a photograph by Rineke Dijsktra, 'Kolobrzeg, Poland 26 July 26th (1992)'. The images on the poster are a selection of reproductions I found in magazines, newspapers, books and on internet. The reproductions are pictured on their original size.
